Description
Take a stroll amongst the flowers! A path winds invitingly amongst a glorious display of wildflowers in the subalpine meadows surrounding Mount Rainier.
The 14,411 foot active volcano forms the highest point in the Cascade Range in Washington State and attracts about 1.8 million people a year to Mount Rainier National Park. At almost 370 square miles, the park was established in 1899, the 5th National Park in the United States, containing more than 25 glaciers, including Carbon Glacier and Emmons Glacier, the two largest in the contiguous United States.
